THIRTY TWO. FIRM. MOTHERLY. BI-SEXUAL. WIDOWED/SINGLE.
[classy=appdesc]Oh, hey Raleigh, North Carolina! Look who's it is! It's Janesha Lilith Crowne! Oh, uh... perhaps you know them by their nickname, Ms. Crowne, Jane? Anyway, this certain blessing in disguise came to us on December 20th, and grew up to be a hefty five feet, seven inches. You can always tell it's Janesha because of their black hair, brown eyes and large scar on her upper left portion of her back. Not to mention they've gotten themselves one tattoo! You know, everyone says they look like Nia Long? I personally don't see it though ....

[classy=app1]The fat lard of a principal looked over his papers with a rather disinterested attitude. He noticed you sitting down, but doesn't really have the courtesy to look up from his desk. To you, he says out loud. "Let's begin sha'll we? Tell me the basic details about yourself." With a cough, he shuffled through is papers and glanced at you once through his small eye glasses.
Jane knew she had to make a good impression. After all, she wanted this job. Of course, she could have always went back to what she used to do which was helping to run a local department of juvenile justice. Still, she needed to do something different as her former employment was not her true calling. Especially given how different she was compared to normal humans.
"My name is Janesha Lilith Crowne. I am thirty two years young. I'm a North Carolina native; go Blue Devils! I have a degree in child development which is a strong reason for you to hire me. I specialize in dealing with children like the children you have here. I worked at DJJ for a while. So, believe me, I can deal with the worst you have to throw at me. Some say that, because of my anxiety caused by the mental scarring due to me having special abilities, I'm not fit for this kind of job. I don't believe that. Oh, by the way, I do have diabetes. My imperfections is what makes me perfect for the position," she verbally projected.
With a sigh, he leaned back in his chair, threw his glasses on the desk and ran his chubby fingers through thinning, greasy hair. He pinched the nose of his bridge and closed his eyes tightly as he said, "You know about the truth of this place. Now, I didn't invite you personally, my staff did. So please, give me a run down of your power." With his eyes still shut, the principal gestured with one arm toward you to begin.
She was reluctant to answer. What was she thinking? She had to give this man some sort of idea about what she could do. However, if this man knew what she was capable of he'd probably understand why she didn't want to tell him about her power. She had issues dealing with the fact that she possessed this ability. She didn't want to have the power. She wanted nothing more than to be normal. However, that wasn't a reality for her.
Jane crossed her legs and looked away from the man. "You don't want to know. Sir, please, believe me when I say you don't want to know. What I do isn't so much about what I know how to do but what I cannot control," she explained. No matter how she tried to talk around her ability the more that she realized that at some point she would have to tell somebody besides her family about what she truly was.
She wanted to cry. Her feelings were hurt. She couldn't believe that somebody would make her become that...thing...again. "Look, I'm supposed to be professional and that is why I'm so against doing this. Once I become her there will be no professionalism. There will be no nice woman with the cute skirts. There will be no love. There will be no humanity. All that will be left is Sywren. That's what I call her. She's more like an alter ego for me. Call her a version of human transformation which is the name of my power. She's my weakness," was her continued explanation.
Janesha stood up and removed her ear rings, finger rings and bracelet. She placed the jewelry into her purse and sat the purse onto the chair she once sat upon. "Don't say I didn't warn you..." She did warn the man. She tried but failed. The creature named Sywren would appear. The transformation was a bit rough for Janesha. Her body thrashed violently across the floor once she fell upon the hard wooden surface. She reached into her mouth and attempted to pull her teeth out of her mouth. The pain being felt was almost unbearable. Her shoes were kicked off. No remnant of brown skin remained and in place of that pigment was a violet color. Canine teeth appeared with a moderately large under bite like a feminine humanoid bulldog. Claws were only overshadowed by a much taller and much more robust looking creature.
Once upon its feet Sywren stared the principal down. It sniffed around with Janesha's well combed through hair looking more wild and unkept. This creature crawled around on all fours. When Jane transformed she did so by allowing her wild side to come out. This was why Janesha went through so much trouble to be such a model citizen. If she felt too much immoral intentions or at least what she considered to be immoral she would become Sywren. The creature left the room.
A few minutes later Jane returned and sat down while straightening up her hair. "WOO! As much as I hate her I can't argue that it does feel different to be...different?" she explained. "See, Sywren and I are one but I suppress her by controlling my blood sugar levels. Whenever my levels get too high I become her or whenever my immoral qualities become too high the same thing can potentially happen. To explain further, the only sure fire way to go purple is blood sugar irregularities. It's why I carry syringes filled with liquefied pure cane sugar for when I absolutely need for her to come out. The immoral part? Well, that's no guarantee lil' miss Sywren will appear. But both in combination? The sugar level being high and me thinking of sleeping around with Brad Pitt? Yeah, you can bet she'll come. She's the embodiment of the sins of gluttony, my love of sugary sweets, and immoral intentions. It's not permanent of course. I can stay her for about an hour and after that I can't do it again for about two hours or so. Then again, Sywren normally doesn't need more than an hour to wreak havoc. Once I'm her I got above average strength, speed, agility and ferocity," she went on to say.
Finally, his eyes opened groggily. However, he wasn't much warmer. He yawned loudly and largely as he looked over your paper. With eyes watery and face red he continued, "I see why we would have invited you. Let's see..ah yes. Mind telling a bit about your family and where you're from?"
Janesha wasn't really hyped up about talking about her past either. No matter what point of her life she could talk about she would have Sywren to thank for ruining it. She was that creature for a long, LONG time. Jane could transform into the beast in her teenage years which was the best years of her life as far as she was concerned.
"I already told you I'm from North Carolina. But I guess I didn't tell you much about me as a young one, did I? Well, lets just say that I kinda have to thank Sywren for getting me out of he situations I was place din. My mother was a teenage mother and single. She gave me up for adoption. I grew up in foster home after foster home and, due to the rage of me hating everything about my mother, I got into a lot of trouble as a young lady. I eventually was placed into the North Carolina department of juvenile justice," she explained.
She reached into her purse and pulled out her insulin. There was just no way she could talk about this and not control her blood sugar levels. She intentionally didn't take her injection in the event she was asked to show what she could do. Now? Oh yes, she needed her buffer to keep what was inside of her on the inside. Two appearances by Sywren was just asking for trouble. She was relieved that the creature didn't harm the principal or any of the staff here.
A few moments passed until she could inject the medicine into her blood stream. Sometimes, people needed special places to place the injections. However, in her case, she didn't need to pick a place since it didn't matter given the fact that the medicine would be absorbed rather quickly and given the fact that she didn't need to do this very often. It was only needed to control herself.
"I was locked up in juve for multiple counts of shop lifting, assault and destruction of school property. Please, don't judge me. I was young and dumb then. I've grown past my former ways. I didn't know I was able to do things that were extraordinary until after I left juvenile detention a year later. My adoptive foster parents figured out what I was and protected me from the world so that I wouldn't be persecuted for what I was," she said.
The more the medicine went through her system the more she felt as if she could freely speak without having that creature come out again. "I have a dad. No, really, I have a biological father. However, I was never really allowed to be around him given the fact that he is a registered sex offender and was in jail for a long time. In fact, he didn't really get out of jail until I was an older teenager. When I met him I understood just why I was different. He was just like me. He could walk through walls. I always wondered why he didn't just escape prison. He told me at my high school graduation that he didn't try to get out because he felt like he needed to stay in to pay for his crimes. I learned that he did things to my mother against her will and that was how I came along. You could imagine how I felt, couldn't you? I mean, I basically learned that, not only did my mother keep me just because she didn't want to punish me for non-consensual intercourse, but that it was the man that had a part in my creation that did the crime," she said, sadness in her eyes.
"So just how in the world did I suppress Sywren for all of this time? Well, I'm a diabetic. I can normally take pills to control my blood sugar levels but I take injections as well to control Sywren. Funny, isn't it? I had that thing in me for all of my life and the only reason why it was never able to come out until after high school was because I was taking insulin," she said, laughing behind her words.
Now, perhaps it was becoming more clear why she worked at a juvenile detention center. She specialized in counseling young girls who were victims of various sexual crimes. She could understand victims since her mother was a victim as well. As much as she wanted to hate Sywren she thanked the creature as well because if she ever felt the things that her father did she would become a hideous thing. Her father had prison to keep him in check and she had Sywren. So, because of her powers she could never become the degree of monster that her father was even though her power was to become a monster.
"I went to college. I tried to avoid befriending people as much as possible. I felt...different. I knew something was wrong with me when a guy tried to hit on me, I flirted back and missed taking my insulin and then felt like ripping the guy's face off. I sought out counseling. That didn't help. The more I tried to suppress her the more she wanted to come out. The first transformation happened after my first real date. I felt like a werewolf. Remember the legend of the North Carolina blue devil? Yeah, that was me. I don't know where in the world they got blue from though as Sywren is purple or violet colored if you care that much to be proper. The morning after was the worst since I had a major headache like a hangover and everything that happened appeared to be happening only as a dream. She attacked many animals and scared plenty of people," she went on.
The mood lightened up some. She loved to talk about her previous employment because she loved her former job. "I worked at the North Carolina department of juvenile justice. I was a guidance counselor for young girls who were delinquent juveniles. I enjoyed what I did. At first, they didn't want to hire me because some of the people who were still there when I was locked up recognized me. Lets just say I wasn't the best little girl when I was there. Many couldn't believe that I returned trying to be a guidance counselor. Still, discrimination couldn't be made. I was hired there."
Janesha coughed. "And I'm apart of a recent divorce. My husband thought he could deal with Sywren annnnd he was wrong...so I'm single now as well..." she finished off with.
While you were talking, the principal had made himself comfortable by leaning back in his chair and intertwining his fingers. "Hmpf. You should fit right in. May I ask, what are your plans in the future? Outside of AMG?"
She had to think about this one. For the most part, she hadn't set realistic goals. "I want to be rid of Sywren one day. That's a major goal for me. I hate her and love her at the same time. Without her I'd be in constant fear of becoming the person my father is. Some say, given my personality, I wouldn't be like him anyways even if she was never around to make me become a raging beast. However, I was a criminal as a kid. So I guess that's always lingering in my mind. That goes into my other goal of always being sure of myself. I know it's hard to be a guidance counselor who tells students to be sure of themselves when I cannot always do it myself. I guess I want students to learn from me and be better than me. That's my challenge to any student."
He looks much more interested now, rather awake and in a slightly better mood. "Tell me, do you have any hobbies?" he inquired, creating soft jazz hands at the word 'hobbies' as if to mock it. "You're aware that it may be difficult to continue these on the island, as you may not leave outside of break?" It was more of a statement than a question.
Jane giggled and smiled, "Well, I do enjoy eating raw fish, running through open fields and howling at the moon. JUST KIDDING!" She made the joke to try to place Sywren in more of a positive light. She had a feeling she failed. It was difficult for her to place that beast into the category of being funny and non-threatening. "I actually enjoy couponing which is just taking coupons and going shopping. I love to read health magazines. Oh, and I just can't get enough of listening to oldies music."
The principal crossed his fat arms and leaned on his desk. In a much more serious tone, he asked, "Be honest, child. How do you feel about all of this...supernatural stuff?" his shoulders shrugged as he said it.
She sighed. "I think it's wonderful if someone can fly or control their cell phone with their mind. See, those are powers you can do something with. Me? It's a curse and I'd get rid of Sywren if I could," she said.
He leaned back on the chair that squeaked under his weight. "I see. Personally, I have mixed feelings. Anyway, we're finished now." The Principal grunted loudly as he got up to shake your hand. "It was a pleasure meeting you, do you have any questions for AMG?" he added, as he let go of your hand and buzzed the receptionist to lead you out.
Janesha shook the man's hand. She stood up and continued to straighten up her hair. "Thank you for your time sir. I hope you consider me for the position," she said before exiting.
