VENICE CECILIA TAYLOR
SIXTEEN. RECKLESS. CLINGY. BISEXUAL. SINGLE.
Oh, hey Manhattan! Look who's it is! It's Venice Cecilia Montague! Oh, uh... perhaps you know them by their nickname, Ven? Anyway, this certain blessing in disguise came to us on December 30th, and grew up to be a hefty five foot eight. You can always tell it's Venice because of their blonde hair, blue eyes and scars from the abuse. Not to mention they've gotten themselves two tattoos! You know, everyone says they look like Elsa Hosk? I personally don't see it though ....
grade level: junior
grades: average.
goals: none particularly, just to survive. honestly has no idea what she wants to do with her life, she's just taking it one day at a time.
hobbies: cooking, running, reading.
key personality traits: sensitive, tactile, promiscuous, stubborn, fickle, distracted easily, childish, lacks a work ethic, quick learner, social, desperate, attention-whore, dependent, partier, loving.
power: empathy. she got her power when she was extremely young. venice had subconsciously manipulated her mother (because obviously she wouldn't have done it on purpose), and her mother thought she was going crazy, and that was part of the reason she left. venice has no idea that her powers could possibly be the reason. she believes that they came about when her father had his tantrums. she felt fear and pain while also feeling anger and betrayal, and the huge differences between the feelings was what finally made her realize she could feel the emotions of people around her. she has sort of an 'i don't care' attitude about it, or so it seems. she likes the fact that she knows peoples' true intentions and feelings around her, but sometimes it gets to be too much, especially when she's in a crowd. it frustrates her sometimes. but this power is a reason for her partying and promiscuity. venice gets a much bigger high off of it because of her ability to feel other peoples' highs.
background: venice had a pretty good childhood, up until she was four. when she was four, her mother left the family due to financial circumstances (and other reasons explained in 'powers'). her father was left to raise her, and it was okay at first, but it gradually got to the point where he was constantly coming home drunk and abusing her. venice didn't understand much of what went on, because there were still those loving father/daughter moments, and she was so young. but, she was either taking care of her father or hiding from him, by the time she was invited to go to AMG. venice was more than happy to do so, but it almost seems as if she's going in a downwards spiral as each day passes.
"tell you about my favorite childhood memory? sure, i guess. i dunno... i don't really like talking about the past... though i guess my favorite one would be the time i was seven. my... father, well, he was in a really good that day. he had just gotten his paycheck and there was plenty to spare, apparently. so he took me to an amusement park. we went on every single ride and did all the typical stuff, we got ice cream and cotton candy and played games," venice blabbered on and on, practically in a dreamy state. she was probably the happiest she had ever seemed when she was describing this whole experience, but then her voice faltered as she realized something. all of that didn't actually happen. a sigh escaped her lips and her voice seemed to be much more confident and grounded. "or well... we got ice cream. that was the best part," she repeated with a nod, before changing the subject.
max. est. the world will never know.
