But when beauty met the beast, she froze tell me again it was love at first sight Once upon a time there was a princess who lived with her prince. One day someone kidnapped the princess and took away their happily ever after. What happened next?
The little prompt had been scrawled on the bathroom wall where everybody gossiped. Mina liked it. She had no clue what it was supposed to mean, or what she was supposed to do, but she decided it was time to paint something. Something big. And something soon. She found herself down in the student lounge, chairs shoved out of the way and a corner all her own. An easel held a massive canvas, about three feet tall and five feet across. A light pencil sketch showed half of a castle, and some wavy lines that would slowly turn to golden locks flying through the night.
Mina stood there, first going for a night sky, complete with swirls of black and navy blue. There would be a few swirls of silver for clouds, along with little twinkles of stars. Paint covered a lot of what Mina was wearing, but that was okay, because it was her painting outfit. Jean shorts with a new design every time she wore them, an old, ratty batman tank top, and her favorite sweater ever. Right now, the sweater was in the corner, along with her shoes. Mina used one foot to scratch another right on the dinosaurs, and looked at her palette for a few moments. She swirled a few colors together, achieving the perfect shade of blue. She began swirling the paint onto the canvas, the colors blending in just the perfect way.

carrying the bow in his right hand, the male made his way over to the lounge. sure, he'd probably look weird holding his nearly six - foot - tall bow, but who cares? he just wanted to see if anyone interesting was there. maybe show off a bit to someone. the usual, really. when sydney walked in, the first thing he noticed was the girl off in the corner, painting. she reminded the boy of his twin brother . . . well, that was weird. really the only similarity was that they both painted. she had a skill close to his brother, too. the boy nodded to a few of his friends in a greeting and walked closer to the girl.
he stood behind her for a moment, tilting his head to look at the painting. yup, she definitively could rival jaimie in skill. sydney coughed softly, trying to get her attention without screwing up the artwork. it really would be a shame if she had managed to ruin something that was coming along so well. " coming along greatly. what was your inspiration, hm? " he asked with a smile playing at his lips.

But when beauty met the beast, she froze tell me again it was love at first sight The door opened; Mina didn't pay much attention. She heard someone coming up behind her, and watching for a few minutes. They spoke, then, almost jarring Mina's concentration. "Oh, there was some something about a princess being kidnapped or something." Mina shrugged. "It was on that bathroom wall everyone uses gossip? I just liked it." Mina paused for a few minutes. She wiped off excess paint on her shorts, lightly brushing over some of her thigh scars, before rinsing off the brush and drying it on her other short leg. She started working on the greys of the castle next, mixing a couple of different shades to get the effect she really wanted. "Anyway, what's up with... you?" Mina turned around to actually see who she was talking to. She blinked a few times before she recognized Sydney McHale. Mina used to party with this kid all the time, and lately she had been talking with him in the school's chatbox. Huh.
She then noticed the bow. Nice, an archery dork. Mina vaguely wondered if he played with Ruby at all, then rinsed off her brush again and left it out to dry. Mina, cheery as ever, smacked her hand against the castle and started to move the thick, wet paint around with her fingers. Mina used her hands quite often to get exactly what she wanted. Fingerprints also added cool textures! Maybe not for stone, but it'd work. Fingernails were also excellent for marking details, such as the individual stones. "I promise I'm listening, I'm just so, like, in the zone." Mina was truly one of the best artists on the island. She had been on a kick lately, with every little thing giving her great inspiration. She was really playing around with a lot of ideas, because she had a plan that was going to happen soon. The mural. Was going to happen.
But that was a thread for another time. For now, Sydney had better put his bow away before it gets covered in paint, and start romancing Mina before her crush on Tony gets much worse.
