This time, though, he wasn't on his laptop. Instead of IMing his bestie, Jace was reading. Yes, reading. He didn't make it a habit to practice, but, seeing as Noah was coming over, he needed to get as much homework done as possible. Oh, and he wasn't wearing a shirt. He didn't, honestly, wear shirts when he was in his dorm much. Just on occasion.
The book he was reading was Macbeth, which made him want to die of boredom. He didn't care about their arguments. And, quite frankly, he didn't really understand all of what Shakespeare was saying. "Fair is foul, and foul is fair." What the hell was he saying? In Jace's experience, fair is fair (like Noah), and foul is foul (like Wren). Nothing else.
With a sigh, he reached over, grabbed the nearest shirt he could find, and threw it over his head, wriggling slightly so it slid down to cover most of his stomach. Not all of it, but most. He wouldn't have bothered, but he didn't really know where his and Noah's relationship stood yet, and he wanted to be sure before he did anything rash.
He raked a hand through his still-damp hair as he put the book down. No way was that happening. Too be honest, he was too excited/nervous.
The door to his dorm was, once again, open slightly, as if expectant. His roommate was nowhere to be seen, as usual. Jace wondered momentarily what his name was. He didn't even know that. Stupid boy.
Pushing the thoughts in the back of his mind, he worked his golden wings out of the two long slits down the back of his shirt, and let them hang lightly at his sides.

She was throwing a few items into a small bag, her phone, headphones, make up, other girl stuff. Noah didn't really think she had to bring anything else. She picked up the shorts from her bed and put them on, as well as a pair of boots. Walking over to her desk she sprayed some perfume into the air before she walked through it, covering herself with the sweet scent. She picked up a bottle of water which she would drink on her way to Jace's dorm. Turning off her laptop she left the room, closing the door lightly behind her as to not disturb her drowsing room mate.
Noah took a sip of the water as she walked down the hallway. She checked corners in case any teachers were about but Noah doubted it. Noah started to feel nervous as she came closer to Jace's dorm. She didn't know what they were exactly and Noah hoped that her wearing one of his shirts didn't seem overly weird since they weren't anything official. Finishing off the water, Noah threw the empty bottle in her bag. She hadn't eaten and she didn't want her stomach to grumble and cause any suspicion. She counted the numbered doors as she headed to her location. She saw that once again the door was slightly ajar. Noah smiled. Taking a deep breath she pushed the door open and entered the room, closing the door behind her.
Noah inspected the room, it didn't look any different from the last time she had been there. Her eyes glanced at the other dorm bed which was empty, Noah hadn't seen Jace's room mate before since he wasn't there when she was. Noah's eyes finally stopped as she looked at Jace. A small smile planted itself on her face. His hair looked damp. Noah remembered him saying in the online chat room that he was going to have a shower. Noah momentarily wondered if it was because he knew she was coming over but she shook the thought from her head. She noticed that Jace was reading Macbeth. Noah chuckled as she thought about Shakespeare. She had always loved Shakespeare, he was her guilty pleasure. Noah smirked placing her bag on the ground.
"Nought's had, all's spent, where our desire is got without content. Tis safer to be that which we destroy. Than, by destruction, dwell in doubtful joy." Noah grinned as she quoted from the famous play. Her mother also had a love for Shakespeare, and the two would spend hours reading the scripts, watching the recreations. Noah knew almost every line off by heart. She would spend long times in her room acting out scenes of each play. Walking over Noah took the book gently and began to read from where Jace was. She sat down on the edge of the bed as her eyes scanned over the words. Noah wasn't an open bookworm, and if she was going to read something for her own entertainment she would usually go to the forest on the island, climb a tree and spend hours reading the book.
Noah stopped reading for a moment. "Any specific reason you're reading Macbeth?" Noah said, cocking her head the side. Jace was only at the start of the story. Her fingers trailed the paper as she flipped through the book. As she read the words of the story she took off her boots placing them on the floor, then crossing her legs as she sat on the end of the bed. tag: jace outfit: here words: 613 template by eliza @ shadowplay |

Butterflies were beginning to be flying around in his stomach, seemingly ironic. It was said that boys never got nervous, and if they did, they were more or less homosexual or too feminine. Vulnerable. He was a walking contradiction for that little saying. His level of nervousness seemed to fluctuate regularly. And he didn't think twice about. On the contrary, he thought of it as normal. The cause for his nervousness was, presently, Noah, of course. Who else would it be, Wren? Yeah, right.
His poor belly flip-flopped when he saw, out of his peripherals, the door open wider. And then Noah was standing there, an adorable smile planted on her face. He couldn't stop the smile that itched up his own even if he had wanted to. Which, quite frankly, he didn't. And then he noticed that she was wearing his shirt, and the little grin grew wider. It looked nice on her. Probably way better than it had ever looked on himself.
All feelings of nervousness forgotten, Jace sat up on his bed, running one of his hands through his, yes, still-damp hair. Too be honest, he had showered for her. He didn't want to smell like body odor. The musky scent she had described to him earlier was his goal, though he didn't, frankly, know how to make himself smell like that...
Or how to act cool. In times of dire need, he couldn't, for the freaking life of him, act nonchalant. Or not awkward, for that matter. And he was deathly afraid of making a fool of himself right now, which probably showed plain as day on his face (or night, seeing as it is no longer day).
The boy's sapphire eyes were fixed on the pretty girl, who moved towards him and sat down on the edge of his bed. A little chuckle parted his lips when she began quoting the poet. "You are a Shakespeare fan? Good to know."
Honestly, Jace didn't really care for him. But that was probably because he didn't understand half of it. Usually, he used Sparknotes, which gave him a complete overview of the book, but he figured he may as well try to actually read it. Just once. The only problem he had with Shakespeare was the fact that the words were so... old. And hard to comprehend. He thought the plot for A Midsummer's Night Dream was hilarious with the love square and all. He just never understood the giant words Shakespeare liked to use.
He watched her as she read his book, the one he had given up on. "You know me. I'm just reading for fun." He joked lightly with a wink, ""nahh, it's just for homework." Good golly, the guy always seemed to have homework. Jace had never been the 'book-worm' type, but he liked to keep average grades. And he usually did, if he kept up on his homework. But he wasn't really thinking about his homework anymore.
Another grin crossed his face, his blue eyes still trained on her own pretty brown ones. "Nice shirt. It looks good on you."

She wasn't one to do homework, and if she did it was usually all wrong. Noah had never been academic even though if she tried then she could get much higher grades. She didn't care much for school. "Nerd" Noah teased at the boy. She always called him a nerd or a dork when he brought up homework. She didn't really mean it. It was only a joke, Noah was used to showing her affections by using her humour. She preferred to see others laughing rather than anything else. She wasn't sure what was going on between her and Jace but she liked living in the moment. She knew she liked Jace but she didn't want to admit it to him and then find out that he didn't feel the same. Noah wasn't good with rejection since she'd had enough from a young age.
Noah looked down at the shirt she was wearing. Both of them knew it belonged to Jace, but it was rather big on Noah. To others it covered up how thin she really was becoming. Closing the book, Noah placed the book back onto the bed. "Really? its one of my favourites" Noah grinned. "Want any help with the homework?" Noah didn't really know why she was offering. She wouldn't mind helping Jace with Shakespeare since she was the writers number one fan. Noah glanced down at Jace's lips. Was she allowed to kiss him? She was unsure, would it be weird or did Jace want her too. Noah turned her head away and began fiddling with the end of the baggy shirt. The large shirt had slipped to the side, revealing Noah's shoulder and the strap from her bra. Noah ignored it and then she reached up pulling her hair to the side and scratching the side of her neck. tag: jace outfit: here words: some amount. terrible post. forgive me? template by eliza @ shadowplay |

He was pretty sure it was just something that the teachers liked to assign for sheer amusement at torturing their students when they had everything in the world better to do. And they were always good at assigning the most when their students wanted nothing more than to not have any homework. However, Jace had this need to stay on good terms with most people he met. He liked keeping on the teachers good sides, and finishing the impossible amounts of homework they likes to assign seemed to be the only way.
He gave her a humorous, pretend bewildered look, feigning perplexion. "I resent that," he teased, bringing a hand up to play with a lock of her hair. Huh. He seemed to have a thing for her hair. Well, any sane person could see why.
Chuckling lightly, his blue eyes stared for two seconds at the object of their discussion, presently, the shirt. His seemingly forever-there smile widened when she mentioned that it was one of her favorites. It had never really been anything special to Jace, as he had tons of plain white tees. Like the one he was wearing, in fact. They were all different fabrics, and some even were a slightly different shade of white... Uh, okay.
Admittedly, the boy was taken aback when she offered to help with homework. Not that he didn't find her smart or anything. He just didn't expect her to be one to jump at the chance to be involved with homework... then again, he could be wrong. "You? Doing homework? I must be dreaming."
He observed the little (or rather, big) shirt falling to one side with a slight flick of his eyes. He blinked and they were back on her face, watching her, and she didn't seem to be looking at his eyes. A mischievous smile curled his lips, the ones she seemed to be watching. He let the hand that was wrapped up in her hair fall so it rested on her now-bare shoulder. Or, almost bare, that is. His fingers ran back and forth along the arch where her shoulder and neck met, his eyes full of playfulness. "I know you want to kiss me," he informed her teasingly, "and I'm not going to stop you."

"Fine, I won't help you then" Noah said teasingly. Before she had come to the room she had thought about what could happen. Her and a boy who she liked in a dorm, together all night since she was sleeping over. A blush crept onto her cheeks as the thoughts ran through her mind. Compared to a lot of the people she knew, Noah was an innocent. She didn't really tell anyone but no one asked so it didn't matter.
Noah played with the ends of her shorts. She was praying that her stomach wouldn't show how hungry she was. The baggy shirt covered the bones that were starting to become more and more visible as the days passed with Noah not eating. She didn't think she had a problem at all. The girl didn't think she was causing any damage. She would eat a small meal every few days to keep her body going but apart from that her diet consisted of energy drinks and chewing gum.
Noah turned her head away quickly after discovering that Jace had caught her staring at his lips. Her cheeks still red Noah tried to rid herself of earlier thoughts about what could happen between her and Jace. She felt tingles at the boys touch and had to stop herself from just jumping on him there and then. Turning her head back she looked in the boys blue eyes before turning her body to face him and leaning in closer. "Well thats good then" Noah grinned before placing her lips onto Jace's. She moved so she was resting on her knees and she ran her hands through the boys hair. Noah felt tingles run through her entire body at the kiss. She honestly didn't want it to stop. tag: jace outfit: here words: some amount? template by eliza @ shadowplay |

Jace chuckled lightly at her feigned indignant remark. Oh, he was never bored around her. How could he be? She was just too fun, and he couldn't imagine not being entertained while she was around. His thoughts swarmed lightly around the slightly nerve racking fact that she would be staying in his dorm the whole night. He didn't know if his roommate would show up. Which would be extremely awkward for all three of them. But, even more, he was anxious about how she would be staying all night in his dorm. It wasn't as if he was inexperienced, or anything... Oh, Lordy. He commanded himself to not think about that. It didn't matter.
From an observer's point of view, Jace would seem like a total dumb blond. How he couldn't tell that Noah was struggling with her weight was a mystery. He wasn't very observant, especially when it came to people he cared about. He didn't like finding faults in those people, and tried as hard as he could not to. However, he did begin to notice that she hadn't eaten much around him. Accepting the chocolate cake she had eaten in a very small amount, Noah hadn't consumed anything. The aforesaid smile faltered as he came to this startling realization.
The thoughts were instantly frozen and pushed forcibly into the back of his mind when she kissed him. Too be honest, he wasn't really expecting her to. Not that he minded, though. He wanted to lose himself in the kiss, as he had before. It was one of the most enjoyable things, in his mind. Buut, unfortunately, the nagging thought that she wasn't okay thawed and pushed itself back into the front of his mind, where he could no longer ignore it. He turned slightly and placed his hands on either sides of her legs, as if he was leaning over her. No matter how much he enjoyed this, she had to know that she was okay. He pulled away from her, only slightly, so her lips and his were merely an inch away. Reaching down, he pulled on the end of her shirt that was, of course, previously his, as if to draw attention to it. "Noah," his voice was thick with concern and, as much as he wished he could hide it, desire. "Are you okay?"

She adored the boys hair, it was one her favourite things about him. Saying that she had a lot of things she adored about the boy. She couldn't pick an ultimate favourite but it would possibly be the boys lips. Noah shivered as Jace placed his hands on her legs. Noah opened her eyes when he pulled out of the kiss. A confused look crossed her face. She cocked her head to the side. When Jace spoke she shivered again. His voice sounded deep and at that moment Noah just wanted to leap onto him and forget about the rest of the world.
Noah removed her hands, running one of them through her hair. Was her hunger obvious. Noah looked down, the boy was playing with the end of her shirt. Noah didn't want to lie to Jace. No, she wasn't really okay. She was dizzy, she was hungry, she couldn't look at food without feeling sick. Looking up Noah placed a small smile on her face, "I'm fine" She lied through her teeth. She couldn't tell Jace the truth. He couldn't know that she wasn't eating. He would think that she was ill and she couldn't have that. She was fine, completely and utterly fine. Noah decided she should distract Jace from the situation and so she kissed him again, her fingers trailing down his chest. She didn't want Jace to find out about what went on in the girls head. She was insecure enough but she had grown feelings for Jace and if he started judging her she wouldn't cope very well.

He wanted her to be okay. He wanted everything to be perfectly fine. But, something inside him told him it wasn't okay. She wasn't okay. And, no matter how badly he wanted to shake it, he couldn't. He has never been a naturally observant person. He could be, maybe, if he overlooked the fact that he wanted everyone to feel okay at all times. But that simply didn't happen. He was blinded by his hope that the ones he cared about were all good. Even so, he had begun to notice a slight... difference in Noah. He couldn't discern whether it was emotional, physical, or whatever. (Like I said. Nonobservant.)
He did, however, notice the slight hesitation she seemed to have before she answered. That little pause made him all the more confused and worried. And he was about to express his concern. The only thing that kept him from speaking again was his fear that she would run our of the room if he said anything further. He did NOT want her to leave.
The little inner war that raged inside him finally ended, and he was opening his mouth to speak when she was kissing him again. Oh my dear sweet Lord was she kissing him. And, almost instinctively, he was kissing her back. His hands slid down to the bed, one on either side of her, so he was leaning into her, a low groan sounding in the back of his throat. If she was meaning to distract him, she succeeded with flying colors. Remember that thought he had earlier? The one where he didn't want her to leave. Let's revise that to he didn't want her to leave ever. That sounds more accurate. He shifted only slightly so that he could move his hands to her back, where he began tracing little designs up and down her spine, all thoughts of well-being evaporated.

She didn't want anyone to worry. Noah had never believed she was worth people worrying about her. As Jace kissed her back she smiled in the kiss as she realized her distraction had worked. Noah didn't want to scare Jace away with her problems. She liked him too much to let that happen. The girls hands played with Jace's hair and she lay back into the bed, a small giggle escaping her lips. Jace was a good kisser. A small thought crept into her mind about how many other girls he had kissed, or even done more with. Noah pushed the thought away. She wasn't the most experienced girl in the world. She had always had friends who were guys and instead of doing make up and having girly sleepovers she would go skateboarding and play on the play station. Noah was also a virgin, which was something she didn't really tell people. She didn't know if it was obvious or if everyone just expected that her being a sophomore she would have lost the v-card by now.
Words couldn't describe the moment. Noah was trying to enjoy it but the dark thoughts swarmed into her head. She wondered if Jace was secretly judging her body. Noah had a rule against reading minds as long as she could control it and while she was kissing Jace she found it was a lot harder to concentrate on. She caught pieces of his thoughts, thankfully they were good things. She caught one thought which made her laugh about him not wanting her to leave. Pulling away from the kiss Noah resting her head on the bed as she looked up at the boy. "Do you know something, your bed is much comfier than mine. I might never leave" Noah finished the sentence before laughing again and placing a hand over her mouth to try and stop. She looked at Jace's face and poked his cheek waiting for him to join in on the laughter, hoping he wouldn't be embarressed about her hearing his thoughts.

Jace had to think twice about the words she has just spoken. Something told him he had heard them before, or rather thought them before. Of course. He had nearly forgotten about the power that she had been given by whoever-the-hell dubbed each and every one of the other kids with their own special quality. The slightest redness crept up into his face as he realized what she had heard in his own head. Hey, who said guys couldn't blush, huh? It took him a moment to recover, but a small one at that. He began laughing lightly, a mischievous look smoothing over his previous slightly surprised/embarrassed one.
"Oh, so that's how it's gonna be, huh?" The grin that was plastered on his face was the widest and happiest and goofiest in all the land. "Well, then, listen to this." To be honest, Jace wasn't quite sure how her mind-reading technically worked, but he figured if he simply thought something really hard she would understand? You are truly wonderful. He concentrated on that single thought, hoping with all his heart that she might get the message. In one motion, he had intertwined one of his hands with hers. Incoming. Cheesy Jace. MAY DAY. The insanely corny boy leaned in to plant a small kiss on her nose, and then waited to see if she would understand.

A small laugh escaped her lips, Noah liked Jace, a lot. She couldn't explain it. She wasn't used to liking anyone, she never got crushes since she always decided before hand that she wasn't good enough for them. She believed strongly that Jace could do better than her, and they weren't anything official so he could easily turn around and tell her that he'd made a mistake. Noah was waiting for that moment so that she could put up her wall again and act like she didn't care.
A smile rested on Noah's face when he grinned. She absent mindedly reached up and traced the outline of his lips with her fingertips. She then stroked his previously red cheeks, laughing again. Noah listened intently to Jace. Looking into his deep blue eyes with an expectant look on her face. You are truly wonderful. Noah felt her cheeks turn red as she heard the thought. She felt relaxed around Jace, and she felt that she didn't have to keep up her entire barrier around him, letting her mind flow freely without a care.
The brunette squinched her face when the boy kissed her nose, a laugh erupting from her mouth. Noah wasn't used to compliments, she rarely ever got any. She laughed again, attempting to hide her face in Jace's shoulder. She knew her face was bright red. She felt like a kid, happiness pulsing through her veins. Noah concentrated on the boy for a moment sending another thought back. Well I guess that makes two of us then Noah placed a few kisses on the boys neck before kissing his lips, letting out a content sigh as she lay back down on the bed. She started to fiddle with her sleeves, suddenly finding them incredibly interesting. Another giggle leaving her mouth, making her smile.
