[classy=apptite]CASSIDY ROSE CLARK

14. GOOFY. BOLD. CHAMELEON. QUEER. SINGLE.
[classy=appdesc]Oh, hey Hershey! Look who's it is! It's Cassidy Rose Clark! Oh, uh... perhaps you know them by their nickname, Cassie? Anyway, this certain blessing in disguise came to us on September 11, and grew up to be a hefty five feet and two inches. You can always tell it's Cassie because of their constantly changing hair, likewise but mostly hazel eyes and cotton candy style. Not to mention they've got themselves lots of sharpie tattoos! You know, everyone says they look like leda muir? I personally don't see it though ....

Basically I'm complicated
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But I'll be at least 2 people today
If that's okay
And I can go on and on and on... but who cares?
Cassie is more than meets the eye, mostly because she never looks the same from moment to moment. Ever since she was very young, she's been able to shape-shift. She can change her hair and eye color without blinking (okay well maybe it's a little bit more difficult to not blink with her eyes but shhh it's an expression). Other things, such as height and weight, are a lot more difficult, unless she's changing drastically. For example, if Cassie wished to change her arms into, say, octopus arms, it'd actually be fairly easy. She can't ever fully change into an animal, because it's her fancy dancy brain that controls her changing, and if she changed her brain, too, she'd lose her power. It's like when the USSR voted to disband itself. Nope. No more. Gone. Bam. Also, she can't change the length of her hair, and it drives her nuts that she has to physically cut it. She can curl it and straighten it and do anything else. Just not make it shorter or longer. Anyway, partly due to her silly powers, Cassie is a very silly, goofy girl. She dances when she goes places, she'll wave octopi arms at you, and she'll have no problem doing it. Cassie is very particular when it comes to music and movies. She likes more underground music that's very nearly mainstream(everything from Cee Lo Green and Gnarls Barkley to Mumford and Sons to Phillip Phillips from American Idol). That way, you avoid annoying hipsters and annoying prep kids. Unless we're talking Katy Perry, because Katy Perry is the most amazing woman ever kthxbai. As far as movies, Cassie's constantly filming and recording and snapping photos and interviewing people. She loves both classics (especially Hitchcock, but who doesn't love a good Hitchcock, right? Or Gregory Peck. OR SYDNEY POITIER. UNF) and modern films (Joss Wheden, NPH, Robert Pattinson- not Twilight, Harry Potter, duh- and all the rest) and really, just everything to do with it. Cassie isn't as much into TV shows, but she enjoys Mad Men and Big Brother. Mostly, that's it. Surprisingly, Cassie doesn't watch many cartoons. She likes film best because of the limited time you have. And the effort. And the direction. And- okay, okay, I'll stop. Cassie likes bright colors. Duh. She hates light pink, 'frosted' lipstick (it always looks stupid k). It's easy for Cassie to make friends, as she's pretty mature for her age. She skipped a grade when younger and has always taken fairly advanced, rigorous classes, to the surprise of those who judge a book by its cover (ie everybody).
It's deep how you can be so shallow
And I'm afraid cause I have no fear
And I didn't believe in magic
Until I watched you disappear
I wish you where here
And I can go on and on and on... but who cares?
Generally, kids who look like Cassie come from one of two families: one of outcasts and weirdos who all look like 'freaks,' or a clean-cut cookie cutter family with a rebellious teenager. Cassie comes from the latter category. Her parents were shocked to discover she was a powered person, and from a very young age, she was warned to hide her power and not use it. Ever. Naturally, Cassie couldn't control it too well when she was younger, and she was home schooled for a long time until she gained control. None of her siblings (two younger sisters and a baby brother) have powers, as far as the family knows. When she went to school, finally, she started seventh grade at age eleven. Most kids where older than her until she finally got her birthday in September. She had friends across everywhere, but she liked the scenie weenies best. Slowly, but not sadly, Cassie lost contact with her preppier friends (the ones who were children of her parents' friends at the country club). Cassie wasn't shy about her power, often practicing by changing during school and hanging out with friends to going home. Her parents, naturally, found out, and they freaked out. Cassie's parents were strict, always giving her tough rules and little chance for a social life. Cassie found out about AMG on her own, and begged her parents to let her go. It was a huge fight, and no one back in Pennsylvania knows where Cassie really is. Over her year at AMG, though, Cassie's felt much better. She's been able to really discover herself this year. She's made quite a few friends, some of them being less than ideal. Cassie's mostly clean, but she's smoked a cigarette or two, and she's gotten high at least once.
You see, everybody is somebody
But nobody wants to be themselves
and If I ever wanted to understand me
I'll have to talk to someone else
Cause every little bit helps
And I can go on and on and on... but who cares?
An important part of Cassie's identity is her sexuality. At this point, she mostly defines herself as 'queer,' since she's felt a lot of different attractions at different times (not unlike the narrator in this comic page 1 page 2). She figures she's only fourteen, and she's likely to keep on evolving as she grows up, so she's not too sure. Cassie's had exactly three relationships in her life (outside of her family, duh). The first was in second grade, where she and a boy held hands and made mud pies. It was very romantic. They broke up after he threw some mud at her and she started crying. Earlier this year, Cassie dated a boy for a few months slightly older than her, but he wanted to go too fast. Cassie's virginity is still in tact, but she might have given him (he was a junior) a handie or two. It kind of grossed her out. After that was over, Cassie went out with a girl for a couple of weeks, and before things got too serious there, the girl moved (she was one of the many whose parents freaked after the kidnappings. In fact, Cassie just barely convinced her parents to let her stay at AMG). Cassie and the girl still occasionally video chat, but they both agreed the long distance thing was pointless. So basically, Cassie's single and happy, unsure of what she wants and who she is. She was kind of glad things ended so quickly with the girl, however, because only the good Lord himself would know what her parents would say should Cassie ever date a girl. She hopes they'd get over it eventually, because, come on, there are those two awesome gay guys at church, and they throw the best parties okay plus their daughter is adorable.
Feels like... the surreal life
But it's still nice
Wish I could live twice
but I still might
if these bones heal right
I see a little light
though it's still night
"So this one time, at church, I was so freaking cute. I had short blonde hair, like, in the same exact shade as my mom, and we had just cut it, most adorable bob ever, but anyway, we were sitting there and during communion, my little sister, who was like eight at the time, drank the entire goblet of wine because she didn't understand that it's only supposed to be a sip, and then she started pulling my hair, and okay, when you have sticky eight-year-old fingers pulling on your hair it hurts, so my hair kept on flashing different colors -kind of like Randall in that one scene in Monsters, Inc. when Boo is hitting him- and everyone was staring including the bishop but Bishop Pepe is the most awesome bishop ever and he totally loved it, but my parents got so freaking offended, and they switched churches, but I love it there, so I stayed and a few months later they came back, too, and it was so silly they acted like it had never happened, even when Bishop Pepe tried joking with them. I mean, what does it mean when you have more of a stick up your ass than a freaking Catholic bishop? Ugh, my parents are so craaaay sometimes. They drive me nuts."
And I can go on and on and on... but who cares?
