16. QUIET. SNIDE. AWKWARD. LESBIAN. SINGLE.
[classy=appdesc]Oh, hey Queens, New York! Look who's it is! It's Haiden Lyn Radke! Oh, uh... perhaps you know them by their nickname, Haides? Anyway, this certain blessing in disguise came to us on December, 12th, and grew up to be a hefty 5'4. You can always tell it's Haiden because of their dark-brown hair, hazel eyes and trademark style. Not to mention they've gotten themselves a bunch of tattoos! You know, everyone says they look like Tegan Quin? I personally don't see it though ....

[classy=app1]The fat lard of a principal looked over his papers with a rather disinterested attitude. He noticed you sitting down, but doesn't really have the courtesy to look up from his desk. To you, he says out loud. "Let's begin sha'll we? Tell me the basic details about yourself." With a cough, he shuffled through is papers and glanced at you once through his small eye glasses.
Her fingers meshed impatiently, eyeing the old coot concisely with her signature scowl. Not that he even bothered to peek over the brim of his paper stack. She untangled her hands, and leaned on the arm of her chair. Just as uninterested as he was. If not more so. " Let's begin shall we? " Haiden lazily dragged her eyes to his wrinkled face. " Tell me the basic details about yourself " Sounded simple enough. She broke eye contact as soon as those beady beamers shot up, and as quickly as she could, she spouted off a vague description.
" I'm Haiden. Haiden Lyn Radke. Sixteen, sophomore. " She sighed lethargically " Let's make this quick, dude. " She could already hear her mom's nagging . Lecturing her about the hierarchy between kids and adults. Then somehow it'd all end up stemming into her sexual orientation. Haiden rolled her eyes to herself, then glanced back to the principal. Awaiting his reaction.
With a sigh, he leaned back in his chair, threw his glasses on the desk and ran his chubby fingers through thinning, greasy hair. He pinched the nose of his bridge and closed his eyes tightly as he said, "You know about the truth of this place. Now, I didn't invite you personally, my staff did. So please, give me a run down of your power." With his eyes still shut, the principal gestured with one arm toward you to begin.
" You know about the truth of this place " Haiden perked up, interested. For she did know indeed. A school for freaks She recited her words to her sister internally. " Now, I didn't invite you personally, my staff did. So please, give me a run down of your power. " He gestured roughly, for her to begin. " Right to the punch I see. " Haiden grinned sarcastically. He seemed to be increasingly frustrated, which was pleasing. However, she decided to comply. Staggering up from the creaky chair, Haiden bared her back to the principal- revealing her silky black tail. She then returned to her seat, and attempted and explanation. " I dun'really know what my power is called (animal mimicry). But I've had this tail ever since I was a kid- my sister has ears. We're twins by the way. "
Her eyes once again distanced far from the man. As if watching a movie of her past in the distance. " I'm very agile. I can climb trees, jump high. Like any cat. " She paused, then chuckled lightly " I can kick ass too! No one messes with the panther. " Haiden chuffed. Feeling rather in control of the whole situation. " Cept' when I was younger, girl cats just hated me. They'd come barreling out from alleys, true story. " That would be the end to that question. Though she was thoroughly surprised over how open she was being.
Finally, his eyes opened groggily. However, he wasn't much warmer. He yawned loudly and largely as he looked over your paper. With eyes watery and face red he continued, "I see why we would have invited you. Let's see..ah yes. Mind telling a bit about your family and where you're from?"
As soon as his next inquiries delivered, Haiden tilted back her head, and let forth an agonizing groan. " Really?! " She shot the man a pleading look. His face merely eclipsed over the papers. She gave in. " Dad died, never met im'. Got a twin sister named Riley. We're inseparable " The last word hung in the air. She aimed to exhibit her anger for being taken away from her only love. " I'm a New Yorker. From queens yeah? Never been far from home. Till now. Mom kept us under her little wing. " Mom.. a word that didn't taste well in the girl's mouth.
While you were talking, the principal had made himself comfortable by leaning back in his chair and intertwining his fingers. "Hmpf. You should fit right in. May I ask, what are your plans in the future? Outside of AMG?"
Haiden brought her gaze back to him. He was more relaxed now- leaned back in his chair. Gut as bulbous as any globe. " You should fit right in " Her hard-guy persona briefly softened. To her surprise, she hadn't even thought of those words. All her life- hiding her secret.. but now she was practically surrounded by misfits. A chance to start new. Haiden straightened up, and sucked on her bottom lip. " Well.. uh. Sorta. Riley's got the best voice in the country. I play bass. " She shrugged " That's bout it Mr. "
He looks much more interested now, rather awake and in a slightly better mood. "Tell me, do you have any hobbies?" he inquired, creating soft jazz hands at the word 'hobbies' as if to mock it. "You're aware that it may be difficult to continue these on the island, as you may not leave outside of break?" It was more of a statement than a question.
Suddenly his eyes brightened, hers mimicked. Perhaps all she had to do to be likable was just seem like she cared! " Tell me, do you have any hobbies? " Haiden's countenance instantly went cold. He was making a joke of her! His jazz hands had implied so. The rest of his words fell upon deaf ears, for she no longer cared. " I just told you I play bass. I like to draw. Take pictures. " Haiden smirked cynically. " And I'm pretty handy with a spray can... " That'd teach him.
The principal crossed his fat arms and leaned on his desk. In a much more serious tone, he asked, "Be honest, child. How do you feel about all of this...supernatural stuff?" his shoulders shrugged as he said it.
Haiden held his gaze hungrily. Wanting to send off as many negative vibes as possible. " We're all freaks with super powers. In a big school. Not much else to say. " Her scowl hardened. " Personally, I think all these freaks should stop being so emotional. It's cool being a super cat. "
He leaned back on the chair that squeaked under his weight. "I see. Personally, I have mixed feelings. Anyway, we're finished now." The Principal grunted loudly as he got up to shake your hand. "It was a pleasure meeting you, do you have any questions for AMG?" he added, as he let go of your hand and buzzed the receptionist to lead you out.
Her hand went limp in disgust of how forcefully he grabbed her hand. " No. " Haiden barked, then shoved her hands in her pockets- and awaited to be whisked away.
