YOU CAN GET ADDICTED TO A CERTAIN KIND OF SADNESS LIKE RESIGNATION TO THE END (ALWAYS THE END) SO WHEN WE FOUND THAT WE COULD NOT MAKE SENSE WELL YOU SAID THAT WE WOULD STILL BE FRIENDS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As a very pale person, Annie did not often like to find himself outdoors. Especially not in a hot place like the beach where people typically where as little clothes as possible. In fact, he wasn't entirely sure what had made him decide to don sunglasses, swim trunks, and a white v-neck and head out there today, but he was beginning to think that it wouldn't be so bad.
Besides, it was easier to see his tattoos in the sun. And maybe the beach was a little bit of a huge inspiration for him. He missed the days when he could watch the sun set over it with his mother.
He found a spot a little bit to the left of where most of the other kids were sitting.
Annie had had a really hard time making friends since he had been in school. He just wasn't good at talking to people until he got to know them, and no one was willing to hang out with him long enough to find that out. It had seemed easy enough to make friends when he was younger. But people care a lot more now about whether you're a drunk or a smoker. If you're not? Well, then, you're just not fun enough to party with the big kids.
That was Annie's problem. He would rather sit back and enjoy the show. But if you're not part of the show, then you really aren't worth anyone's time, it seemed.
But today, lying out on the sand and letting the sun warm him up, Annie didn't really care about having friends. He was regretting leaving his sketch book behind because the ocean really was gorgeous that day and he couldn't think of anything he wanted to do more than draw, except for maybe sit there and keep his eyes on the waves and the enjoy the pure energy radiating from all the people who were having the time of their lives out there in the water.
Yes, this might be a fine day.
