It had been a long week. Getting to know his students - thought he couldn't be bothered to learn names. He had tried making lesson plans and quickly resorted to reading from the book and parading around his class like his knew exactly what he was doing. Most of the students had been convinced, though there were a few they had taken a little more convincing. But the powers he had seen in the other students made it all worth while.
Some were rubbish - reading empathy? boring! but some were prizes that Jimmy had only really dreamed of - invisibility, shape-shifting - the powers beyond all powers. Except his own, of course. He had spent one very special morning disguised as the principle giving detention to anyone who got in his way. It had been worth the look on the real principle's face when they had met mid-way through a corridor.
Nevertheless Jimmy had been given extra marking to do and have even been threatened with taking an after school class to prevent him from borrowing the student's powers. But even teaching extra Chemistry wasn't going to put Jimmy off stealing people's powers. Not if they were so freely available from unsuspecting students. He had made up a story about some non-existent power he possessed so none of his classes were aware of his real potential. Because, lets face it, his potential was not sitting at a cold wooden desk marking papers that he hadn't even assigned. Independent marking - what did it achieve anyway?
Skulking into his classroom he dumped a black briefcase on the strong desk, clicked it open and pulled out a mountain of red booklets. Luckily this was chemistry - a subject he pretend to know a lot about. He had set a project for the class to come up with and experiment they wanted to do, how they would do it, and what it would prove at the end. The best ones they would actually do in class - Jimmy liked to put a little effort into his job once in a while.
Picking up the first book he ruffled through the pages, blanking out as much as he could. There was a lot of writing and a few diagrams...it deserved a 'B'. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a red pen and scribbled a rough B on the first page, for a moment he thought about the mark but quickly shut the book and moved onto the next one. He hated marking...it was the worst. He needed a decent distraction.

Matthew had powers all his life. He just sort of went with it. But a school full of students that had powers? They didn't exist except for in books and movies. The idea of a whole school filled with magical students was absurd. Now, imagine his surprise when, all of a sudden, he had magical powers as well. Geokenises? That was just plain odd. Not that he had issues with that, since he had always liked nature, but still. It wasn't exactly what you would call normal, now was it? But he hadn’t planned on coming here, not until the bullying became too bad. He pulled a face, wetting a paper towel. He really wasn’t sure he enjoyed this place, but it was definitely better than Crossroads High.
His shoulders twinged at the thought, and the young man rolled his eyes, running his fingers through his brown hair. It had been a long six months that was for sure. He was still sort of mid boggled by his powers, and yet everyone here seemed to be perfectly okay with there’s. Matt didn't exactly mind having powers, once he got over the shock of it all. It was kind of fun, actually. But it was still a long day, and he had a head ache. And he was not in a good mood. He scowled down at the stain in his Marc Jacobs satchel, grumbling under his breath. Some idiot had decided it’d be a grand idea to dump Jello on him with the insult of “Fag”. Honestly, couldn’t they think of something more original than that? He was pretty sure cavemen could do better. But if they stained his satchel, there would be hell to pay.
Hell hath no fury than a gay fashion-queen being scorned.
”I will kill them.” Matt announced to the empty bathroom. It was technically fifth period, but since he had already finished the test they were doing, he didn’t plan on returning. The teacher, a batty old lady he wasn’t sure how she was still alive, didn’t care anyway. The brunette gave up on his satchel, grumbling to himself. ”Then I will find someone with a reanimation power and kill them again. This cost me more than my wardrobe combined!” And that was a big thing to say, as he had many clothes, most of them being Prada. With a sigh, Matt rested against the wall, sliding down to sit on the floor. It was all the same. He had hoped being here would stop the bullying, but people were all the same. It sucked. But that’s what you get when you hope, that’s for sure, not that he enjoyed that at all.
As soon as he managed to get the stain out of his clothing as best he could, the young man made his way to the Chemistry classroom. Matt was a very good student, mostly because he found most classes to be easy, but he had a question about his homework. In hopes that the teacher would still be there, he opened the door, hesitating in the doorway. ”Mr. Noir? Am I bothering you?” Matt’s voice was polite – unlike with his fellow students, he wouldn’t be snarky unless pushed. But for now, he waited.

Jimmy groaned and stretched out his arms in front of him, letting out a satisfactory click as his elbows bent in. He had been sat still for too long. Marking was such a tedious job. Why didn't he just quit while he was ahead and get another job, something more to his taste. Something in a bar. With lots of alcohol. Leaning forward he gathered up the three papers he had actually marked and placed them on the floor, debating whether to just stop where he was and finish the rest another day. Even if he was already behind.
Loosening his tie he unbuttoned his top button and leant back in his chair. He could hear footsteps down the corridor, but he doubted they were coming towards him. So he was surprised when the door to his room opened and a small voice asked him a question. He looked towards the door and immediately smirked to himself. Matthew Cross. How delightful.
Not at all, doll. Come on in, he said, silently cursing himself for referring back to calling people 'doll'. Still, he doubted the boy would even comment on it. He watched the other enter the room, his eyes darting over the boy's clothes and the noticeable wet patch. Jimmy grinned and got to his feet, moving around his desk and perching on the wooden edge.
If you've come to ask me for some clean clothes, I don't think you're my size, he teased, pointing out the darker areas of Matt's clothing. He liked picking on his students, it was his own personal entertainment. The best part was that he had made such a good impression on the other teachers that none of them ever believed he was so cruel.
In all fairness, he was only mean to the students who's powers he didn't really want. Geokenises was not one of the top priorities. Invisibility, shape-shifting, teleporting...those were the kind of powers a king should have. That was why Jimmy wanted them.
Crossing his arms over his chest he looked at the other with a half smile on his face. Clearly Matt's day hadn't started too well. Was Jimmy going to be cruel enough to make it worse? Yes, of course.
Clearing his throat he reached up and ran his hand through his hair, brushing it slightly to one side making it even messier than before. What can I help you with? he asked finally, untucking his shirt and pulling his tie from around his neck. He hated the thing anyway. Besides, it was only Matt, no one special to Jimmy. He rolled his tongue over his bottom lip, looking directly at the poor student. If he could make Matt feel uncomfortable, he would. Jimmy always abused his power as a teacher, and nearly every student knew it.
