[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] I CAN'T LIVE FOREVER IN A NEVERLAND The Words: enough The Outfit: lolhi The Notes lol short post the blonde just finished with his last class of the day, clearly exhausted. he had told massy earlier in the day that he was going to head straight to her dorm after class. wren was the type of person to keep his word, so he went straight towards the direction of the dormitories when the last bell rang.
it must have looked weird, wren going into the girls' dormitories. then again, the boy usually walked in and out of the dorms to visit his friends so surely, it didn't raise any eyebrows. it's not like anybody was watching him anyway. he had told his friends that he was going to go study when in reality, wren was going to visit massy. they'd been dating low key for the past month or so which was surprising with someone that has as big of a mouth as wren because if anything, wren can't keep something as big as this to himself for such a long period of time. he didn't even know why they were keeping it low key. maybe he'll ask her why later.
once he got to the door to her room, wren knocked. once. twice. no answer. wren knocked again and waited but once again, no answer. he twisted the knob and was surprised to see that the door was open. how careless. the blonde walked inside the room and looked around, not at all surprised at how clean the room was. typical ocd massy. he walked around the dorm, making sure her dorm mate wasn't in the room either. after he was positive that nobody was in the dorm, he pulled out his phone and sent a text to massy. lol im here.
sitting down on what he thought was massy's bed, something he learned from his countless visits to the dorm. as time passed, wren's position changed, going from sitting to laying down. wren eventually fell asleep, cuddling a pillow (who he may or may not pretended was massy) and managed to slip under the sheets, comfortable.

She adored the mood of the place. Most people were concentrating or relaxing. It was much easier to focus on her homework there than in her room, where the girls in the dorms on either side of her tended to have unpredictable emotions. Plus, there was roommate Alexa who could explode with distress at any second. The library made Massy feel so much more normal than any other place she went to. It was easier to evaluate her own emotions without them being clouded by those of others. She spent a lot of time in there just thinking. About her brother and Wren, her friends and her roommate, school and the development of her power . . . Just everything. It was so easy to escape inside her mind, and sometimes she lost track of time and stayed in the library for hours. Normally it wouldn't have been a problem. But today, when she looked at the clock to find that she had spent the past three hours staring into space, a jolt of panic shot up through her. Wasn't there something she was supposed to do? With wide eyes, Madagascar glanced at the librarian. The batty old woman was staring her down. It seemed like she had been doing so for quite some time now. Massy averted her eyes in a hurry and started to shove her things into her bag. She couldn't even remember what it was that was so urgent. Maybe she was just panicked about having stayed so long. When she was out of the library a few minutes later, she realized that she didn't know where she needed to go. Her rational mind told her that she wasn't forgetful; if there was something important happening she would remember what it was. Besides, she probably just picked up on someone else's mood. That had to be it. A tiny whisper of doubt told her that the timing was incredibly coincidental, but she ignored it and looked around her, searching her brain for a destination. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other seven times before she started walking towards her dorm. If there was somewhere to be, Alexa would know. If she didn't, then Massy could change and go and see if the gym was empty. Her feeling of panic began to escalate slowly as she went over the facts in her head. Without realizing it, her pace increased until she was almost jogging to her room. She was almost shocked when she arrived a few minutes earlier than expected. When she walked into the room, everything seemed normal at first glance. She crossed to her desk and set her bag down next to the phone she had not taken with her, kicked off her shoes, and took her hair out of its ponytail all before realizing that there was a large something in her bed. Due to the fact that both she and Alexandra were very small freshman girls, it didn't take long for Massy to realize that her roommate had not simply mixed up their beds. Before logic could tell her that there couldn't possibly be anything threatening in her room, since it had been locked when she left and there were no broken windows or door frames, she screamed. Loudly. Her hand flew up to grab a fistful of the front of her shirt like she was holding onto it for dear life. And then she remembered Wren. Stupid, careless Wren who would never have taken the time to think about scaring her or Alexa or about anyone seeing him enter her room. Her hand dropped and terror became fury. With Maslynn, emotions usually came at an extreme, especially when they were directed at her boyfriend. "Holy cow, Wren you idiot." She paused to hit the back of his head with the magazine she didn't remember grabbing. "What the heck are you doing? Are you really this stupid? Agh. You scared me to death." Like he couldn't tell from the ear-splitting scream. A tiny part of Massy had to admit, though, that she was happy to see him. [/classy]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] I CAN'T LIVE FOREVER IN A NEVERLAND The Words: 609 The Outfit: lolhi The Notes wren and his cheesiness is always fun to play. wren was usually a heavy sleeper. no amount of noises and shaking could wake him up. heck, not even his sister can wake him up at first try. he was even harder to wake up when he was having a good dream. in this case, he was having a dream about massy. she was one of the few people he had sweet dreams about. the only other two being his mom and his sister. and then there were the nightmares, dreams that did not come often but still, they appeared every now and then. most of his nightmares were about his dad. scenes of his father wanting to kill him. that, or scenes of massy leaving him. forever. the sudden scream interrupted his dream and made it into a nightmare. suddenly, both of his nightmares combined. his dad just killed massy, mustering one last scream from her before she dropped dead on the floor.
with that, wren jolted awake, sitting up and breathing heavily. he looked up, only to find massy holding a magazine and whacked him with it. he looked at her like she was the one who scared him. "what the hell was that for?!" he scowled, looking up at his girlfriend with accusing eyes. "shit. that scared me." he was still at loss of breath. the junior took a deep breath and took a minute or two to calm himself. "i thought you died." okay. that probably didn't make any sense to her. oh well, wren never did. he reached up and grabbed her by the hand, pulling her into a hug. it wasn't really that hard, seeing as how small she was. after what wren deemed was enough time and his heart rate slowed down to normal, wren let go of her and the same, old, goofy smile made its way back to his features. it didn't last long though. "where were you?! someone could have come in and saw me. jesus christ. i sent you a text. don't you check your phone?! you scared me." wren was rambling at that point, going on about how someone could have caught him when really, he was worried about her. "you weren't with another guy, were you?" he narrowed his eyes, the overprotective side of his coming out. a side of his that massy should have gotten used to by now.
wren laid back down, groaning. "i have so much homework." he paused, scrunching his nose. "but i don't want to do them." wren spoke the truth. he didn't want to start on homework because once he started writing, he'd become so focused on finishing his homework that he'd forget all about massy. it was a weird habit of his, to get lost in what he was doing when it came to paperwork. maybe it was because he spent a lot of time writing. after all, wren wanted to become an author when he grew up. that, or follow his sister's path and become a model. who knows where he'll be in the future. wren covered his face with a pillow, hooking his arms around it. "hey massy." he peeked out of the pillow, "give me a kiss." he held his arms out, comfortable with his lying position on the bed with the pillow on his chest, covering his mouth. it was hard to get a kiss out of her during school, so he figured that now was a proper time to ask for one.
and of course, with wren being wren, he meant the chocolate kind of kiss but he was fine with a massy kiss. after all, one was just as sweet as the other.

Though, she did feel bad for screaming and hitting him with a magazine. She pushed him over a bit to make room for herself to sit on the bed, and was about to apologize when he said, "I thought you died." She shot him a confused, worried look. "What do you mean, you thought I died? Are you okay?" A part of her had the instinct to reach over and check if his forehead was warm, but that was silly. Wren could produce heat at will. It would be difficult to say for certain if he was just warm because he was really scared or if he had a fever, so she clasped her hands in her lap. "I'm sorry! I was in the library. I just lost track of time." When Wren hugged her, Massy could only really think that he smelled like teenage boy (in a good way) and candy. Always candy. She didn't mind his sweet tooth, really. That is, unless he was around his sister's friends. Then it was a problem. She ignored his inquisition about her being with another boy, because, really, what more could she want? Though she had had her heart broken and was very picky with boys, Wren was everything she could ever want in a boy--most of the time, anyway. He sometimes got out of hand, but she had long since learned to let it be. He didn't mean it, not really. "I'm sorry for hitting you, too. I panicked. What if Alexa had come in here instead? Jeez, Wren. You can't just sleep in other peoples' beds when they aren't there." For a moment, just because she was talking about a bed and sleeping and addressing her boyfriend, Massy tried to assess her statement for any innuendos. Since meeting some of the more vulgar students at AMG, she had been much more careful about it. She couldn't find any, but she was entirely too innocent to have caught one, regardless of how obvious it might have been. "Why not?" Massy asked immediately. She had seen Wren doing homework before. He wasn't exactly the scholarly type, but he was very focused. She wondered at how much time she had had to spend waiting for him to finish his work so she could talk to him. Anyone who knew them would have guessed that it was the other way around, she was sure. "You should do your homework, Wren," she added. "I'm sure it'll be done before you know it."Massy rolled her eyes at his request. She stood up to pull a bag of Skittles out of her back pocket and tossed it at Wren. "I don't have any, but here." Maybe she should have mentioned that she had bought them for him at lunch that day, but she figured that he could put two and two together. After all, Massy didn't eat candy herself. But just in case he didn't mean chocolate kisses this time, she bent down to kiss him, too. It wasn't like they got to be very affectionate at school. She missed him a great deal. [/classy]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] I CAN'T LIVE FOREVER IN A NEVERLAND The Words: 608 The Outfit: lolhi The Notes WREN IS SO CHEESY UGH wren shook his head when massy asked what he meant. it would have sounded pretty stupid if he explained. he was two seconds away from lighting up and burning the whole dorm down when the girl screamed. thank god wren had caught himself before he lit up. who knows what could have happened if he didn't. "never mind." he sighed, "i'm fine. i'm fine." he laughed, leaning over and kissed her on the cheek. "thanks for the concern though."
"the library?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "you've been spending a lot of time there lately." he narrowed his eyes again, the same accusing tone in his voice. suddenly, out of nowhere, he gasped. "are you cheating on me?" he was kidding. you can tell because right after he said that, the look of 'shock' on his face disappeared in his smile. he didn't expect massy to react, seeing as how she was an empath and, he hoped, could feel the joking-ness in his voice.
as much as he didn't want to admit it, wren was extremely overprotective when it came to massy. he didn't want to admit it but it was obvious, seeing as how he was so watchful over her. since they didn't really let people know they were dating, people would think that they had some sort of big brother-sister type of thing going on but this wasn't the case. wren had seen and met her older brother before and he scared the living daylights out of wren. wren was pretty sure the only reason he didn't kill him yet was because massy and his sister were always around whenever he was there.
"well, if alexa came here first, i'd just hope that she wouldn't scream as loud as you..." he paused, "or randomly produce magazines out of nowhere." he added, rolling his eyes. the hit didn't even hurt, he just wanted to throw that in there to guilt her. he didn't really know alexa that well, all he knew was that she was massy's roommate and she was one of the few people that knew about them.
"homework is boring and boring is not fun and when i'm not having fun, i prefer to do it by myself because when i'm with you, it's fun and i can't do anything not fun if i'm with someone that's fun and boring does not go well with fun so i'll stick with the fun and leave boring at home." he blinked, surprised that he actually said all that. he didn't even know what the hell he said. "basically, why would i waste my time doing something i can do in my dorm when i'm here with you, my most favorite person in the whole world who i can't even kiss in front of anyone." he pouted, "plus. i don't even have that much." what a liar. he was just complaining about how much homework he had about a minute ago.
a bright smile replaced the pout on his lips when he caught the candy. the boy's obsession with sugar was unhealthy and it was a wonder how he made it through each day without getting any new cavities. "why do you have candy?! it's like the world is coming to an end! maslynn roy caught with candy! oh gosh, i must be dreaming." the blonde was cut off by her kiss, which he was too busy smiling through. once she pulled away, wren dragged her down for another, "i swear to god, sometimes, i think that your kisses are harder to get than foreign chocolate." so, he was bad when he tried to be cheesy. oh well. |

He was really weird about some stuff. Sometimes, she wished she could read minds. But she always reminded herself that it was hard enough, feeling emotions like the dread that had swelled in her belly a few moments before. Actually knowing the cause of them didn't exactly sound . . . appealing to the young empath. "If you say so." She shrugged and the subject was dropped. Massy crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes, Wren. I'm having a wild affair with the extremely attractive novels in the library. I meant to tell you, but the subject just never came up." In her own opinion, the blonde had gotten quite good at playing along with Wren's less-than-sensible moments. She couldn't keep her straight face for very long, though, due to the combination of the goofy feeling and Wren's adorable smile, and she broke out into a grin and actually laughed. Though she was quite positive, Massy had the horrible tendency of worrying herself into submission and laughter was a rare occurrence for her, unless she was with Wren, Lucia, or Alexa. Lucia and Alexa were both very sweet people that Massy found it easy to open up to. Not to mention, Alexa was her roommate. She wasn't sure, though, what it was about Wren that had that effect on her. Massy flinched. "I'm sorry. I was scared." She felt bad, sure, but she was also pretty embarrassed, something that Maslynns do not handle well. Her cheeks colored and she pretended to have caught a glimpse of something Very Interesting going on outside of the window to her right. The only thing worse than being embarrassed was when other people were aware of her embarrassment. "Whom. It should be, 'whom I can't kiss.' Not who," she corrected him automatically, before everything he had said had had the chance to really sink in. Then, she tilted her head to one side, inquisitive. "Yes, you do. You said so earlier. You were complaining about it. Your favorite . . . You're ridiculous. You can't play favorites with people. That's inhumane." Besides, shouldn't your sister hold that position? Massy had to admit, though she was probably taking this whole thing too seriously, that she felt guilty that she trusted both Lucia and Mark more than she trusted Wren, but, in her defense, the last time she had been in a relationship with someone, he called her a freak and ran for the hills. She couldn't be expected to think that the same thing (or anything similar) couldn't possibly happen again. Wren, however, is thirty times superior to David.Massy laughed again, mostly at his reaction. She was glad, a moment later, for the excuse of kissing him--she could ignore his question about why she had candy. That, and kissing Wren was one of the greatest feelings in the world. "I do apologize for any inconvenience in the matter of attaining kisses," she said lightly, laughing a bit as she said it. She wasn't sure what was so amusing about Wren's need for affection (particularly in public), but it always made her laugh. Maybe she just enjoyed torturing him. [/classy]

"but i'm as attractive as it gets~" he let out a hearty chuckle, wrapping an arm around the younger girl and pulling him close to him. sometimes, his humor made him laugh because he's that lame and totally laughs at his own jokes. he didn't really care if nobody else laughed, it doesn't really faze the boy. but this time, he wasn't laughing at his own joke. instead, he was laughing because his girlfriend was laughing. it was a sound that reminded wren of an angel singing. wow. that sounded extremely corny. oh well, it was wren after all. his smile widened even more once he saw his girlfriend blush and turn away. 'how cute' he thought to himself. see, if you hadn't noticed already, wren has this thing where everything he says comes out corny. wren wasn't even trying, it was something in his hopeless romantic self that had wren spewing out these lovey dovey words and thoughts. "d'aw. is the widdle baby girl embarrasseeeed?" he laughed, speaking in a baby tone. he poked at her cheek, trying to suppress himself from laughing. it didn't work, the minute she corrected his grammar, the boy cracked up laughing. he didn't know why. he just did. something about being with massy just increased his happiness rate by tenfold. "eh?! what do you mean having favorites is inhumane?! what does that even mean?!" wren knew what it meant but decided to add that in there for exaggeration. "oh well. it doesn't matter. i have my favorite person in the whole, wide world right here with me right now. does that make me inhumane? i don't care." he had a genuine smile on his face, looking down at his girlfriend. "I do apologize for any inconvenience in the matter of attaining kisses," wren interrupted her before she can say anything else by placing his lips on hers. he swore to god, the boy would never get enough kisses from the girl to satisfy himself. at least, that's what he thought at the moment. and for the whole time they were dating. "eh, massy. you never told me why you have the candy." |

Well, alright. She was totally positive. But it did help being an empath and being able to actually see your own emotions. She hadn't, however, looked to see if he loved her back. Normally, this writer would have been able to say that she was scared, but really, you didn't have to look into his blanket-y blanket of emotions to be sure that Wren loved Massy. It was all right there in the open. "If you say so," she giggled. She felt her heart accelerate when he pulled her to him, but she managed to find her way out of his arms (after a bit of struggling). "Though, I think my egotistical brother would argue with you. Really, her brother would argue with anyone about anything, but particularly with Wren and particularly about being more attractive than the rest of the world. Massy's cheeks only flushed brighter, but she stuck her tongue out at him. "Shut up," she muttered, surprised at herself for being so . . . rude. Normal circumstances would present Massy as very rigid, impersonal, and . . . Well, she never told anyone to shut up in her life. Especially not as a joke. She brushed it off, though, and crossed her arms over her chest. "That's not funny." She didn't really mean it. "Inhumane is something that--Oh, whatever. It isn't important." She listened to him when he continued talking, and this time her smile was wider than his. "You should stop eating so much candy. It's making you overly sweet," she commented, but she was still smiling. Wren had a tendency to bring out this . . . strange side of her. She kind of liked it. Massy was put a bit off kilter by the kiss. Part of the reason she was glad that Wren didn't kiss her in front of other people was because of the way it affected her. It was confusing and made her feel dizzy, but it was fantastic and exciting all at the same time. She wasn't sure what to do about it. "I, well. I knew I was going to see you today so I wanted to surprise you," she said, as casually as she could manage. "I mean, if you don't want it, I could always give it to someone else," she added with a sly grin. Sly? Massy? Pffft. [/classy]
