Not pointless ones, anyway. If she was going walking, it was because she had a place to be.
Then there was the aspect of the dangers of walking around without a place to be where Sher lived. Not that New York in general was very safe, but Sher had definitely witnessed more violence around her neighborhood than any kid ever should.
Still, it was better than a favela.
On one particularly sunny day towards the end of school, Sher suddenly found herself with a hankering to venture outdoors for a solitary walk. Normally, Sher didn't like to embark on any adventures on her own. She liked to surround herself with really cool people all the time. Only the coolest of the cool, in fact. She was sure she might find someone outside eventually, but for the moment she felt like being alone.
It had been a very long time since she'd seen most of her family, so she was used to being surrounded by people, and she loved it. But she had been growing attached to the quieter atmosphere at school lately. It was nice not to have to entertain people constantly.
Though, she wouldn't give up her family for the world.
For a while, she just walked around on the paths in the forested part of campus, and it was nice. But then she got bored. She hadn't seen anyone out yet, which was when she remembered she had no idea what time it was, so it could very well be early morning and that's why no one was outside. Or she could accidentally be skipping class, but she was sure it was a Saturday.
Oh, well. She did a few cart wheels and even tried a back flip, though she found that she should keep to jump roping and jogging. Gymnastics weren't working for her. Finally, she found a place to sit down and thought about maybe going back to the dorms to get someone to come hang out with her. | [atrb=width,140]words ,350 tagged ,Marie outfit ,Here.notes ,yeeeeeey sher | [cs=2] |

[/div] tearing love apart, Marie spent a good amount of her time as far away from everyone else as she could be. People made her uncomfortable a lot of the time, thanks to what happened back in California. Things had been getting a lot better here, but she still had her insecurities making things hard for her. That was how she ended up hiding in the forested area of the island so much. There were rarely people in there, and the ones that were there weren’t the type to bother her.
It was obvious that summer was coming. If it wasn’t the restless attitude of the students that tipped you off, the early sunrise made it quite clear. At about seven that morning, Marie was awoken by the sun trickling in the tiny dorm window and dancing on her face. She’d sat up and checked her phone for the date, and decided that since it was Saturday and she was awake before anyone else, she would go wander around the woods and enjoy nature and stuff. She dressed silently to avoid waking her roommate and made herself out of her room, out of the dorm, and into the forest.
Some time later, after spending maybe a half hour sitting against a tree and watching the sunlight through the trees move across the forest floor as the leaves moved in the breeze, Marie stood up and continued on her walk. She was only keeping half and eye open for anyone around, because she couldn’t imagine that anyone would be awake yet , but eventually she noticed Sheridan sitting on a bench by herself.
She felt her heart give an uncomfortable flutter at the sight. Things with Sher were confusing and difficult. It was Sher who made Marie understand that it was okay to like girls, but in the process Marie had taken to liking one particular girl.
Marie was fairly sure that that was not what Sher had wanted when she was trying to get Marie to like herself.
After spending perhaps far too long just watching her, Marie decided to go sit down with Sher.
”Hi, Sher,” she said brightly. ”How are you?” [/div] Words: 370 Notes: I thought this would be longer.

THIS TEMPLATE WAS MADE BY WILMETTA OF CAUTION.

Aside from being cute, Sher was super proud of Marie for finally coming to terms with herself. At least, for the most part. If she was being honest, though, she was even more proud of herself for not giving up on her. Sher had the tendency to get bored with people. Especially those who were more inclined to hiding inside of their shells.
However, there was something about Marie that Sher really liked. She had sort of a sweet nature that reminded her a lot of her siblings whom she missed sorely.
And so she stuck with it, and now she had a good friend because of it. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeh, Mamacitaaaaaa," she exclaimed, throwing her arms up, expecting a hug. "I was juss gettin' lonely, actually. Lucky for me, dough, you showed up. You and yo bad self." Sher didn't forget to notice the pretty way Marie's skin glowed in the morning sun.
However, noticing how pretty Marie was was a little strange to Sher. Of course, Marie was definitely her type if she ever had one. She was nothing less than gorgeous, and had a quiet sort of disposition that made Sher feel more at ease and watered down her overly energetic ways.
In a perfect world, they would have been a couple that made a lot of sense together. However, Sher was pretty sure she was going to stick to purely physical attraction for now. Besides, there was Cassie to think about. Sher wasn't sure what she wanted lately, but it didn't really matter. There were trips coming up with the ever-fabulous duo of Socko and Evan, and of course the matter of being reunited with her family . . . and Fauve There was so much to look forward to, and in the midst of all that she didn't need to be focused on her love life. She would just go with the flow. | [atrb=width,140]words ,345 tagged ,Marie outfit ,Here.notes ,shhhh it'll get longer as we go | [cs=2] |
